October 16 HRNW Meeting Program Winterizing Roses

Share your tips for what did and did not work in winterizing your roses last fall. 

Bring in rose hips and heps along with a small paring knife. We can open the hips and see how many seeds different varieties contain.

We will hold the HRNW 2012 officer elections, vote on the proposed, revised HRNW Bylaws, and choose next year’s meeting dates.

Potted roses and cuttings brought in by members will be available for a small donation to HRNW. Your donations of refreshments and rose-themed door-prizes are always welcomed too!

Driving Directions to the Covington Library,

27100 164th Ave. SE, Covington, WA

From Highway 18:
Take Covington / Kent-Kangley / 272 / Hwy 516 exit. Go West. Turn right at

164th Avenue SE. The Library is immediately on the right.

From 405:
Go South on Highway 167 and take the 84th/Central Avenue exit. Go left at the exit onto Central. Continue South on Central and turn left on Smith. (This road becomes Canyon Drive SE, 256th St, and then Kent-Kangley Road).  Follow Kent-Kangley to 164th Ave. SE. Turn left. The Library is immediately on your right.
